| The
main stage area provided a feast of entertainment and so much evidence
of disAbled people living a positive lifestyle. These included the StopGap
Dance Company, comedians Jaik Campbell and Steve Day plus the headline
band - The Firestone Rock Band - that had able bodied and disabled people
alike dancing together across the showground. Unfortunately the afternoon
rain disrupted great performances by the Choughs Wheelchair Dancers and
the Clean Slate Theatre Company – but even so, they managed to contribute
to the very positive imagery of the abilities of so called disAbled people.
Further evidence of very able disAbled people was seen partaking in wheelchair abseiling and Extreme disAbility Motorsport. [....back] [more....] |
